We all make choices and the Easter story is ultimately a story about choices. From the moment the Pharisees appear at his palace demanding the death of Jesus, Pilate doesn’t have a moment of peace. As the Pharisees and the crowd make their choice, Pilate feels forced into making a decision he doesn’t want to make. As the story unfolds Pilate, his wife Procula, and their servant Servius all end up making their choice about Jesus.
