Promises, Promises - Verena Johnson (2018)
When two radio presenters complain that they have to do the Christmas Eve shift again because of a broken promise, ‘Promises’ becomes the theme of their talkback show. This sparks a deluge of unhappy callers. They reach the inescapable conclusion that everybody breaks their promises until a young boy claims he knows someone who always keeps his promises. He offers to come to the station to explain, but imagine their surprise when he turns up with the entire cast of the Christmas play from the church up the road. The radio presenters and their listeners are treated to a lively presentation of the story of the first Christmas complete with sound effects!
